Claims for R&D tax relief for accounting periods ending before 31 March 2006 must be made by 31 March 2008. 

The time limit for accounting periods ending after 31 March 2006 is the first anniversary of the filing date for the company tax return of the claimant company for the accounting period for which the claim is made.
